The Museum of Saint-Romain-en-Gal

Le musée de Saint Romain en Gal - Blindsee

The archaeological site of Saint-Romain-en-Gal is one of the largest complexes dedicated to Gallo-Roman civilization in France. It is located in the heart of the ancient Roman city of Vienna, covering an area of 12,000 square meters and welcoming over 75,000 visitors annually.

The indoor spaces have been equipped with 16 beacons dedicated to the application for more than a year, and they have validated the initial location principles.

The site houses 443 ancient objects, including 67 outdoors. All these objects have been digitized, described, and located within Blindsee.

The indoor objects (statues, mosaics, reconstructions, models, thematic display cases with their content) are Bluetooth referenced within 16 thematic zones.

Outdoors, excavations and constructions have been located using GPS.

Within the museum’s grounds is the domain of the Allobroges. It is a botanical and reconstruction area that allows the presentation of ancient cultures and certain artisanal processes.

This area represents 24 points of interest, which have also been covered with GPS.

A big thank you to the team 🙂
